Education Division
Our mission is to provide quality, affordable continuing education for our occupational, physical, and speech therapy professionals, enabling them to improve patient care. Topics range from pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders to diagnosis of hip and knee dysfunction in geriatric patients. The format may vary from one and two day seminars to short courses. Nationally known speakers as well as regional and local speakers are invited to present in their area of specialization. Topics and content are selected through staff surveys and suggestions from participants of previous training sessions.

Educational Offerings for 2011

  • October 2011
    OT Modality Certification For Occupational Therapy
    presented by Stacie Bertram, PhD, PT

    This course meets the guidelines of the Occupational Therapy Practice Act of the State of IL for competence in both electrical and thermal modalities.  Lecture information will include pain management, rational for modality use and basic concepts of each modality.  Lab portions will include demonstration and hands on of electrical and thermal modalities.
